Go fly a Kite...

With best regards,
Sury
P.S. Kite flying is a very popular pastime in the month of January in the city I grew up, Hyderabad, India.
We used to use the expression to tell someone to get lost.

January! Wow! Out here in the mid-west we wouldn't start that until spring. I guess I always could have done it in January back when I was in Brazil, but I can't honestly say I ever saw a kite while down there.

Hi all,

I haven't contributed to one of these for a while, and I don't really do birds in flight, so here is the only one that I can think of that is half decent...

I would say that it's a little more than "half decent"! Very nice, Harvey.

Great image Tom. I almost could reach and touch the bird, not that I would dare.

Dusty,
Thank you.
As for kite flying in January, Southern India being tropical, the weather tends be around 75oF -80oF, a moderate
temperature for the region.

WOW. I love the low angle shot. It seems you were lying (in wait?) flat on the ground.

No clearance for landing on the runway, so it will try its luck on the water...
