Hi Mike - I've done a few small prints of the Poppies for my wife's classroom. She is still deciding if the colour fits with the decor at home :)

Wonderful images here but Birma's poppies especially of the field are outstanding.

Where I live although an agricultural area any colour in fields is usually Rape seed or Linseed or Borage and so it was great surprise to come across a local seed developer cultivating a field of sweet peas. The scent from these was amazing.

Ossie, what a field of joy! :D

I was as astonished as Birma when I sawmthe sweet pea field; the varying colours of the individual plants striked me first. Lovely!

Thanks for sharing.

Good luck on the Sweet Pea mission, Andy. :D I'm sure you'd make a legend of their shooting as well....

This isn't a fair challenge! We've got some masters of floral photography on PCA! And to top all that: I'm allergic to grasses :(

Just kidding of course (except about the allergies I'm affraid).

Great new subject Yildiz!

Fantastic contributions so far. This one is off to a good start.
At least this challenge will be stress free for me :) based on the posts so far.
All I am going to do is sit back and enjoy the contributions. :)
This is so out of (above - to be specific) my league. :D

With best regards,
Sury

Hi Sury, :)

Please don't undermine your photography skills with flowers. We've seen some nice contributions from you in other threads.: )

Can I interest you in photographing fishermen with rods in their hands perhaps? All you'll have to do is be easy on yourself and photograph those who are actually fishing. : )
Easy enough, no?

Here's the link to that challenge:

Good luck! :D

Sury, I reckon you among one of the floral masters on PCA. For this fact alone you have to contribute! ;-)

Would only delight in seeing your work!

Here are some from the hike on Saturday. These are from "drier" (semi-arid)
California. From the state park north of Santa Cruz, California. Hopefully give
you balance with the lush greens you would typically see when we say fields.

I did not know till couple of days ago that an Artichoke if left on the plant, will bloom
into a (beautiful flower)
