I found this couple sitting with a tripod (not visible, behind them) and Alpha 200 with 18-70mm kit lens on the bench overlooking Scott's View (of the Tweed valley and Eildon Hills) yesterday evening. I was on the way back from a day at the Traquair Mediaeval Fayre and a stopoff at the supermarket, so not much time to chat, but asked them for permission to use the photo. Always a courtesy, if people are shown close together no matter whether it's a back view and in a public place with plenty of photographers stopping to shoot the view. Thanks for permission, Brian and Ana.

Image

A900, 28-75mm at 28mm, ISO 160 (though I am routinely using 320 for most work now even in bright conditions, and with ACR 5.4 the results are noise-free even in blue skies).

This is a new forum for anyone to post pix of other Alphas spotted out and about - and please refer users to photoclubalpha! I've emailed this to the couple (she's the photographer) along with the club and forum details.

- David

Hehe, I think I've already done that, and one of them is already a member of photoclubalpha (you know who). :D

Was at the Vernissage (Yerevan) on Sunday (to refresh click here) and I noticed just one photographer (hard to see in an overcrowded place) with an A350 (a European I guess). Just saluted each other with a big smile and passed by. Sorry, we couldn't chat, we were all too busy for seeking gifts. BTW, Santa brings the presents on New Year's eve, while our Christmas is on January 6th.

You mean after a thousand more posts I'll still only be an emperor of a minor galaxy?

Doc, you always have nice things to say, so we don't mind! Perhaps, though, you should be promoted to Emperor of a Major Galaxy!

Happy New Year,

Dusty
