I see that I have the option with the A700 to use the front curtain sync technique but is there a way to fire the flash at the end of the exposure i.e. rear curtain sync? I'm thinking about those effects where someone appears to be waling forwards, not backwards?

Re: A700 Slow Sync
From the menu (2nd page, if I might say so) "Flash mode" and from there you'll notice in the options (3nd from the top) is the Rear sync.
