Compact Flash problem

Unread post by Birma »

I used a Sandisk 1GB Extreme III card yesterday which I hadn't used for a long time. I put it in to my (new) A700, it took one frame, and then the camera came back with an error that there was no card. Other MS and CF cards are working fine in the A700. Trying to read the "faulty" card in the PC crashed windows explorer. Any ideas - or do I just bin it?

1GB? Just bin it, I think. Really it's not worth worry about. New 2GB cards are almost nothing now.

:D Good point DK. One of the reasons that I never get too fused about format as by the time I upgrade devices the cards bought for the previous device also need replacing. I wonder if Sony will stick with SD and MS going forward? I think I will go for the MS format for my next purchase.
