Thanks Pako. Now I need to find out whether the C models (5C and 3C) are actually reduced specification options, or European-only issue. NEX cameras without the C in their name are enabled to use WiFi SD cards, with a full range of firmware options including connecting to your computer when you come within WiFi range. Those with C in the name have no WiFi.

The manual affords a better insight into why they chose the movie recording format they did, and why you can't play back a mix of still and movies when reviewing. Essentially, it's all geared to being able to pop the card into a Sony AVCHD DVD writer and create an instant HD DVD.

Thanks to Gigo, from Dyxum (who already got his NEX cuz they are already shipping in japan) here is the Nex Handbook (available on the CD)
