Sorry for stilling the same topic, It was too easy ... :

http://www.sonyalpharumors.com/huge-new ... e-control/

That's for me an important news in the history of the NEX. I have too many Canon user that was waiting only for that.

And my self to still them there 85mm 1.2 :-)

This is the kind of adapter that will change the market I think in the future.

But, I didn't have my camera, but in the professional world ... like in broadcasting last night, there where a lot of Huge Sony camera with huge Canon lens in the front :-).

Frank

I received this message yesterdays (just saw it today :-( ) :

Code: Select all

***************************
Hi, Buyer

Sorry! We find some "data transfer problem" on our adapter when use on NEX5N & NEX7 camera.
But no any problems on other model like NEX5, NEXC3, FS100, VG10.....

Can you tell me, which model NEX camera will use on this canon EF adapter?

If you use NEX5N or NEX7 or you worry about this.....
Pls tell me and you can reject your EMS parcel when it arrive,
so you not need to pay any charge and it will direct send back to us,
and then i will fix this "firmware problem" and ship it back to you ASAP.

Anyway, pls feel free to contact me for this case....

Thank you!
metabones

I hope there is a way to update the firmware without having to send back the item ... :-(

That will be a learning from buying something to fast ... I was hoping being able to rent a TS Canon 24mm II for my next shooting (only 35$ for a day/weekend compare to buy this lens :-)).

If I was a Canon user I would be a tad confused by all the TS lens choices they have, is that 24mm II a particularly good one Frank?

In IMO. I think this is probably the best one of Canon in the TS territory, but I m very far away to be a expert in canon mount, so I can be wrong.

For my specific king of work this is the good angle of view on aps-c.

I've used all the Canon TS lenses - the 17mm f/4 is the one I'd go for! It is amazing. Full frame and 17mm plus loads of movement. And very, very sharp.

That Canon 17 TS would be dramatic on FF especially, but it’s not overly cheap, you would have to really love your photography. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?at ... 4261208132

Thanks for the info David, next contract I will try go get both to make a test. Usually I have space to work (not that much ... but enough :-) ) with It is mostly matter of available light where the TS will be useful I'm only carrying my suite of Minolta flashes so once I'm up to F8 ... I start loosing lot of light for perfect detail (ISO ... ).

Now I just have to wish customer will order more stations in the next months ... and first of all ... the adapter for Canon has to work with the NEX 7 ... instead of that I'm returning to the step 1 ...

Just got confirmation today that the adapter has to be return to the company to be reprogram once they find the error with NEX 5N and 7. (probably they want to protect the firmware inside the adapter ... and that means it is not encrypted ... , so sooner you will see copy of this directly from China I think ... :-) ). So no way to simply put that adapter connect on your pc or the camera and reprogram it at home.
