Size matters
I just like the comparison as seen in my studio. I know which one I prefer to have over my shoulder!

Re: Size matters
Yeah, I wouldn't want to spend much time carrying a D4 around. I have held one a couple of times -- it is really big and heavy. I held a D800 too and it isn't for me. I posted recently about comparing camera and lens sizes:
http://www.photoclubalpha.com/forum/vie ... =49&t=6441
Here is one example:
I have held all 3 of those cameras. I like the feel of the NEX 7 better than the Olympus EM-5 because the EM-5 controls are too small and bunched together in order to put the EVF in the center rather than off to the left. Also, the NEX 7 grip is much nicer.

Different system, different purpose. I wouldn't want to drag the NEX through a swamp chasing wildlife...David Kilpatrick wrote:I just like the comparison as seen in my studio. I know which one I prefer to have over my shoulder!

Re: Size matters
David,
Have you tried some Studio shot with the NEX 7 yet ?
I would love to know the feeling .
I'm really looking to do my next Test station shooting in a month with the NEX 7 instead of the A900 ... being now able to rent a Canon 17 TS for the job (thanks to the metabones adapter).
Regards,
Frank

here they come:
studio with two soft boxes
NEX-7 with Sony 50/1.8 OSS
and a 1:1 crop
not really 1:1 due to the size restrictions!
you may find these in bigger size and more on http://www.flickr.com/photos/dierktopp/

Re: Size matters
Hi Dierk - that is a very nice collection in your "size matters" picture - a camera for all seasons and occasions that's for sure.
Nex 5, Nex 6 (IR), A7M2, A99 and a bunch of lenses.
