DIY Shoulder Rig

Unread post by mughdesi »

A camera shoulder RIG I built with my father's help from PVC pipes. If you want to do your video without SSS on, then you can consider this $10-15 construction.

Hi Daniel, : )

Smart solution indeed! I would even use it for photo shooting as there's no risk of the camera ever falling when the hands are busy with something else, like a change of lenses and the like. :)

My only concern would be the shake that results from the bodily moves / turns of the cameraman. SSS may assist there though. For an A55 with an articulated screen it should work just fine.

Good work! : )

Thanks for sharing,

I did. It doesn't stabilize the camera movement completely, but is still very useful to me.

Daniel, you might try mounting a thin metal pass-thru plate on top of the ball-head and then attaching your handles to that plate. That way you could control panning and tilting. But a very good idea, indeed!
