shooting the sun

Unread post by the_hefay »

Can narrow angle shots like this damage the sensor or other parts of the camera? I love sunsets and sunrises and somtimes the best view is not WA. I'm glad I took the shot and have not seen any issues with the lens or camera since that time. It's been several months. However, it got me thinking about the possible negative consequences. I used live view and not the OVF. I knew to do that much. Any advice or experience along these lines would be much appreciated.

Also, I wasn't sure where to post this so if it needs moved, feel free to do so.
