When shooting I set my white balance to what I think is the correct WB for the situation is ie cloudy , shade etc.
The Sony ARW file is converted to a DNG and loaded into LR but when checking the file I see that the WB is set to custom with a temp of 4700, not what it was shot at, LR does not seem to be taking note of what is in the raw file..
Has anyone else come across this ??
Thanks

My A700 and A200 C-raw files import just fine, and display with as shot settings.. Maybe it's the conversion to dng that is going wrong?

You probably set a custom WB once, and then did a Save Camera Raw Defaults when this was active. If you do that, every pic you open from the same camera at the same ISO now opens with your custom WB.
