KM Scanner 5400 II & Vista

Anyone tried using this legendary scanner on Vista with the KM software?

If it won't work normally, does it work using XP compatibility mode?

According to Silverfast, their Ai scanner driver is not listed as working on Vista either...

For this scanner, it's worth keeping a legacy machine with an old installation permanently. I have an old Mac for the same reason - a bunch of good old peripherals like the 1995 Colortron II spectrophotometer and a Scan Dual with APS film adaptor.
