Hi

I have just tried to make tiff file from the original raw file taken by my A700.
I have tried both Lightroom and Photoshop and for 8bit and 300px/inch settings it makes tiff format of 34.8Mb size.
Allamy requires tiff files between 48-55Mb.
Could you please recommend what soft can I use or what should I do?
Thx. in advance.

Regards
Armen

You can use both, LR or PS. Just change the size on the export window.

Using ACR, look at the bottom of the window which opens for adjusting your raw file. You will find a size and colour space etc dialog. Open it, and you will see the option to export at 17 megapixels, 5120 pixels wide. Also, the 100% view in the ACR window will show you this enlarged version, so you can judge sharpness.

Hi David

Does A700's 12 MP files endure well the upsizing?

A700 results can be perfect. It's not a substantial size increase and working directly from raw the results are OK right up to the maximum 25 megapixel size.

Perfect!
I'm re-working on the pics I took in Peru last year and I'll export them at Alamy's specifications -I was wandering if, since they have an office here in NYC, I'll probably bring a couple of DVDs... I'll check on their website.
