I want to add a photo that surprised me.
This picture was completely unexpected. I took off "for good luck" the flight of a witch into a dance and, as a result, the AF system worked perfectly. Simply amazing.

a99-II + Tamron SP 70-300 USD.

Very nice. You have probably stated this earlier in the thread, but what was the focus setting?
All the best.

It was a New Year's party for children.
I used as usual DMF but at some point switched to AF-C with a moving focus segment. So it was a little easier to keep children and the dancers in focus and in the frame. :)

.

Interesting subjects and nicely taken with autofocus, ValeryD.

The camera is very successful in focusing and freezing the action ...

Thanks for sharing, :)

Love the shots! Love that girl's blue and white headpiece,... and everyone looks like they're having a lot of fun. :D

I also have an appreciation for the AF system for those unexpected shots. :)

I never had that lens. It goes back to about 1993, I think. I imagine someone here has one.

I don't have it either. I read somewhere that one is faster to focus than Sony 70-200 on A99M2.
Highly rated on Dyxum.

Thank you!
I found the information about Minolta 80-200 in Dpreview, Dyxum and many others , just wondering if some one in this forum had the experiences with Minolta 80-200. The reason I ask, because the Sony support say this lens doesn't have internal support in a99-2, a77-2, no CA correction, no other correction too. I have to find right software for converting RAW files and edit JPG files. So far LR and DxO does good correction CA, C1 not work with JPG files. :( and not so good with CA correction in RAW too.
Latest LR 7.* works not bad, but anyway slow.
Free Topaz Studio has not bad correction CA.
