Finally, I had time to check out my "new" old Minolta 17-35 D 2.8-4. I took some pictures in dark places and in poor lighting, and I must admit that this is a very good lens, for the money. :) 200 dollars is nothing wrong with this lens quality. AF works very good and fast, sharpness good too. Colour - sure it's nice Minolta colour. :)

Yep. Love those colors Valery. I think it is more to do with the photographer.
That's my opinion and I am sticking to it. :)

Valery,
I found a 17-35 Minolta lens on eBay. Is that what you meant?

Minolta 17-35 has two versions - 17-35 G F3.5 (https://www.dyxum.com/lenses/detail.asp?IDLens=26)
and 17-35 D F2.8-4.0 (https://www.dyxum.com/lenses/detail.asp?IDLens=27)
And what is the difference between these lenses.

I got the Minolta 17-35 D and am very pleased with this version. So far, it works well. I paid for the lens just $ 200 СAD, then everything for this price is super. :)

Thank you Valery. I see one for US$170. But it said 17-35. Your original said 15-35. Hence my question.

Sorry, sury, It's my mistake... I already fixed it. :(

PS. $200 CAD = $150.88 US...

This one is coming from Korea. Free shipping. Let me keep looking then. My main interest is on the 17mm side for Milky Way shoots.

Lovely photos and I love the costumes that the girls are wearing as elves. :)

I believe you did great with your new lens; it's never the equipment but it's the person holding the camera and his/her eye for photography and you're one fine photographer! :D

Thanks for sharing and now I'll visit an old lens of mine too! :) Never get tired of an old friend.

The amount of texture captured on the dried plants is impressive …
A fine look at the plant and the capabilities of the camera. :)

Thanks for sharing, Valery.
