And so it was - Warehouse Express price beat Camera world down to £775 + rebate 2 come for body only. Got it Updated to Firmware 3 & put a Sigma 17-70 on and shot away. Nice Camera...
I have a Sigma APO DG 70-300 & what with the possibility of gears being stripped etc, I wondered if it is possible to get slow or fast focus in Memory recall so you could bring that up and any other appropriate settings whenever I put the sigma on? Cheers DrLuap

No, it doesn't remember Slow AF as part of a Memory setup. Sorry!

Thanks David - Yes from more reading I see its not possible @ present. I have left it on slow for the time being - many old tired lens in collection - give them a break for the time being. Had to go & fix a computer in Choppington, Northumbria today & took A700 out for 10 mins b4 job & took a few of the river - AF on slow appears to be OK. maybe its more noticeable tracking something fast.
