Don't like the on off switch or the top LCD, but the VF access looks realy improved, has a rear control dial, A5's don't have rear dials hmm could be a fake.http://www.sonyalpharumors.com/sr3-is-that-the-mysterious-malaysian-a560-picture-looks-like-the-camera-shown-at-pma/
What you think David?

Yep that looks like it, someone over at DPR was 'discovering' it just now, so I thought it might be something new, I don't usually bother with rumours much.

I don't like the idea of moving the on/off switch either - but I have only every used a dslr with it in the A100/700 position so it is perhaps something I could get used to. I don't much want a top plate lcd either, but I do remember the A100 and A700 especially getting a lot of negative review comments because of not having one. In fact high -ISO noise and lack of a top plate lcd were two of the big criticisms of the A700 and as Sony seem to be doing well on high-ISO noise, not a surprise if they also bend to the critics on the top plate.

(Going OT, I see that DK has made it to the front page of Sonyalpharumours with his video on Nex focusing - advertising the t-shirts and magazine makes so much more sense now :D .)

I thought that was a top shot of the A7xx? AF assist is there and a what looks like a metering select on the back.
I would not expect this in an A5xx model least not going on Sony's previously ungenerous offerings in this price range.

That's definitely the same concept seen earlier this year. If this is what we can expect of the a7xx, I might be more interested in the a5xx cameras. I rented the a550 this past weekend and really enjoyed its interface. It's missing some of the external control of the a700 but some of the menu-diving was quite speedy and direct. The concept here is missing an external ISO button, which would be more greatly appreciated than a top-plate LCD.

I personally will wait for an upgrade to A700, if the new version is comparable to D300s or 7D

I thought that photo was from the A7xx too.
I like the new position of the on/off switch, in fact that and the top LCD were the two thing I missed from my D50 when I switched to the A700. I also believe that micro focus adjustements are a requirement for a camera in that range (I still hope to get a firmware fix for my A700 sometime)
