Playing with the Rokinon (Samyang) 85mm f/1.4 A very decent lens, very cheap but "very" manual

Very nice shots, Doc.
My personal favorites are the second image and the last one, although it seems to me that the last one would have been even better with a little more space above the bird's head.
With best wishes, - Tom -

Hi Dr. Harout. : )
Congratulations, the lens is wonderful, although manual. I truly enjoyed the amount of sharp details and the subjects. The subjects are very entertaining! : )) Love the bear that's resting its feet on the wall and sunning him / herself.
And .. the birds of prey look wonderful; amazing contrast and colour combination.
I agree with Tom that the last bird needs its headspace.
Thanks for the info and photo-sharing.
Yildiz

Very nice shots Doc - you seem to be coping with the MF holds very well . It will be interesting to see how the new Sony 85 and this lens compare.

I like the look of this lens, the optics look good and it's fast..oh and the price is hard to argue with as well!

I'm going to chip this lens. I guess it's a must.

Samyang announced at Photokina that they were chipping one of their Nikon lenses. So hopefully they will get around to making this a standard feature over the next few months.
