Welcome to a new challenge! :D

Our new Photo Challenge is all that you think or find to be on the subject of 'That Sweet Valentine' which may differ on the personal perception of each individual; it may be love expressions between humans, animals or the way Valentine's Day influences our shopping or gift ideas...and to whom or how to present it. : )

It's all about "that" Valentine that you find is inside of you or out there in the World. Nowadays, the world communities have mixed thoughts on all matters and Valentine's Day gets its share of confusion and cultural perception issues...some even think it's only become a major celebration to induce a shoppingmania!

Please share your thoughts and perceptions through photos...and maybe your photo can even make a good gift for your beloved in the spirit of the day! :D

Good luck and have lots of fun!

Yildiz

Specifications:
* The Challenge will end on 21 February 2011.
* The size and dimensions of the photos should not exceed 250 Kb and 1024*1024 pixels.
* You may submit as many photos as you like.
* Please give a title or name to your photo for identification or to convey your thoughts on the matter. Even a single word would do! : )
* Feel free to think from all aspects of the title or just think out of the box!

Now can you please export this to the UK? It would go down amazingly well in our bakeries on Feb 14th! Lovely work and great shot as ever.

David

Thank you, David! :)

Very kind of you. I suppose it would make a good celebratory and delicious gift for such a day as Valentine's and can endure a few hours of airshipping and still be as fresh as the first moment it came out of the oven. : ) Indeed a good export good for a day!

Thank you, John. :)

I can imagine people biting into one instead of a pretzel for a special day as February 14th! :D Would be fun!

Yildiz, I think we should extend the time limit. Let everyone look around on Valentine's day and take some shots.
Allow a week to post some shots. What do you think?
Or is it that nobody wants to spoil that tasty cake?

:D I took the Doctor-in-House's prescription and put it to good use!

The final date for submissions, now is 21 Feb 2011.

Thanks Dr. Harout, both for the suggestion and the compliment on the biscuit Cupid. :D

Hello everyone, :)

Here comes the Valentine's Day! Tomorrow is 14 February and all probably will happen on this day. :D

My humble recommedation would be not to forget your cameras when you go out tomorrow, so that you're all set and ready to shoot a scene pertaining to the spirit of this special day!

There should be a lot of hearts, red roses being handed out tomorrow. Some started early here because I saw many ladies with red roses in their hands yesterday during my walk... : ) Some gentlemen were probably scared that they would forget it on the 14th and acted early to prevent any quarrels of neglection on that certain day. :D

Good luck!

Yildiz

Couldn't find any couple to take a photo, so instead...

BTW, in Armenia we have a much more older one, named St. Sarkis day, which is due in next week, so celebrated then.
But you know, if lovers, then twice celebrating wouldn't hurt

A fine observation, Dr. Harout. :D The 'touch' of the Valentine's is right there alright! It all begins with a little kiss... : )

Would love a sequence of observations from both St. Valentine's and St. Sarkis day, Dr. Harout. :D I think you Armenians observe the day rather specially since it's a domestic one.

Ok - so here goes for my entries. I fear that what ever kudos I got for buying champagne may have been lost by taking so long in photographing it  .

An international collection of items with wine from Champagne, Hibiscus from Australia, and home-made chocolate cake from Worcester :D .

It was an interesting challenge as I have not done much product type stuff or flash photography so all good practice.
