That old graffiti is cool! When I was in Egypt I saw lots of old graffiti, mostly from Europeans, that was carved into stones at places like Abu Simbel and the Temple of Isis at Philae. Most of it was from the 19th century. I also saw some really old stuff carved that I thought was by Romans about 2000 years ago on the Colossi of Memnon at Luxor.

Here is a dragonfly on a leaf. I took this in Laos in 1998 using a Minolta 707si. I don't remember what lens I was using, but maybe the Minolta 50mm f1.7.

Greg Thanks Greg . I'll try and look out some more from the area. It is a part of Lisbon that had a massive investment and regeneration as part of a World Fair in 1998. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expo_%2798 There are some really amazing buildings there. I was lucky enough to spend 3 weeks in 2009 working there. I can highly recommend the cakes as well - yummy! Nice close up of the Fern, Henry - difficult to imagine you anywhere that cold .

It was fall and I was at Kamikochi in Nagano Prefecture with my girlfriend for a few days staying at a lodge. It is a gorgeous area with hiking trails, mountains, and famous autumn colors. I sure would like to go back there again someday! Lately I haven't been around much cold weather, but in 2009 we were at Grand Tetons National Park and Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming for several days in April and it was cold with snow. Lion in Zimbabwe in 1993:
