Greg, sure will do. My son and I are impatiently waiting for the blooming. When it does, it's like heaven on earth. There's an indescribable sweet smell with all those bees around...

Finally got around to take a quick shot of some flowers in the front and backyard.

From the front yard, a kind of rose. Not sure which one.

Those are nice Mark, I think Yildiz might know what rose/flower that is.

I didn't have a lot of time to do photographs myself, there was an emergency with a tree that was leaning heavily against the front fence (cyclone affected), I think all the rain recently had made the situation worse and the roots were already partially strained by the cyclone. I had to climb twenty feet up the tree and put a chain around it to pull it back before it broke the fence.

Very sad to know you've lost those trees Greg, hope you're able to replant.

Beautiful shots Yildiz . Especially like the blossom. I think tue tulips in the street are even better than last year. Obviously responding to the extra exposure you have given them around the world .

As usual, you're too kind. : ) But I like the genuine innocense the blossoms come with as well.

Birma, you may be only too right about the beauty of this year's tulips and primroses that line the streets; the wider range of exposure from last year returned some better caring and vivid colours this season. : )

Here are three from March, all using the NEX-5 with 16mm and adaptors. The primrose and town hall is at f/10, wide-angle adaptor; the crocuses and church, at f/13 with the fisheye. The daffodil with sunburst is at f/20, with the fisheye. Fitting either of these attachments improves the close focus limit, as with any afocals, though the magnifications remains very similar.

Thanks for the comisserations Yildiz, Birma, it is a sad time loosing so many trees that have been around for so long.
Lovely assembly of shots Yildiz, that looks like a happy time with all those pretty flowers coming out.
Those are nice and sharp David, for those deep f-stops. Very nicely done.
