Re: Post your UWA photos
A brilliant idea for a prolific thread, Henry. : )
I don't own a UWA lens but I definitely will enjoy all the shared photos here!

Re: Post your UWA photos
I went to both in 1994 and again in 2001, but I would like to go again. Rome is a great place for photos. Very nice photos!gio67 wrote:yes the vatican and the pantheon, with the tamron 11-18
Here is another photo from this past weekend with the Sigma 10-20mm at 10mm.

Re: Post your UWA photos
Maybe this thread will inspire you to get one. I have had one since 1991 when I bought the Tokina 20-35mm f3.5-4.5 in Minolta mount. I missed something really wide like that so in 2006 I bought a Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 in Canon mount and then in 2008 bought the Sony 11-18mm f4.5-5.6. I still have all of them. They are not general purpose lenses, but can be used for a unique look. I mostly use them at the widest setting, but it is good to have the other focal lengths for the occasional times I want them.Greg Beetham wrote:Some interesting and very nice shots guys, I don't have a UWA so I can't participate.

Yeah Henry I guess it's food for thought, that Sigma 10-20 doesn't seem to bash out a bad image at all, I was of a frame of mind to one day maybe get a UW prime but now you've got me thinking about a zoom...one day.
Greg

AA los banos - the colours on your picture are simply stunning - lovely image.
Another a55 / 10-24 Tamron shot, just scraping into ultra wide at 15mm focal length, this time inside a small internal courtyard...
Another Nex / 16mm pancake / UWA adaptor (approx 12mm) shot from the british museum
and a statue there using the same setup

Good one, Scott. I especially like the second one.
Here is a photo in northern Thailand in a Long Neck Karen village taken with the Sigma 10-20mm at 10mm.
