What are you using now or what will you be using? Philip, good luck with your big sale!

Hi Bakubo,
After a very difficult and agonising decision I'm moving to Nikon. Having tried an A77 (and the A55 before it) I really cannot get on with evf's, and if that’s where Sony are going they’re heading there without me!
I have sourced both an 14-24 F2.8 and a 24-70 F2.8 ex-demo to put on a D700 successor, adding a 105 macro and probably a 70-200 + 2x convertor. In the meantime I've bought a very, very, cheap D5000 body to tide me over.
It's a shame, as I love having inbody SSS and the user interface of the A900, and have used Minolta/Sony SLR's since the mid 1980's (I still have my first Minolta camera, an X500, but it hasn’t been used for 15 years, and I can’t bring myself to sell it....).
I'll also miss the camaraderie of photoclubalpha!

As you may have noticed, Henry and Barry still come by here even after falling upon evil ways . . .
With best wishes, - Tom -

I came to Sony from Nikon, albeit analog, and you're going the opposite way... I wonder, 5 years from now, will you get back to Sony when all camera makers go for EVF? Anyway, as Tom mentioned, you don't need to leave this forum (believe me, non-alpha forums are not so friendly).

Thanks for your concern - I'll certainly stop by now and again to see whats happening over here in alphaworld even if I can't submit any photo's!
Doc, Nikon are on the record as saying they are committed to ovf's - sure, they probably will introduce evf's as well, but at least I will have a choice! 5 or 10 years down the line evf's will be very different beasts to what we have at present.....
