Thanks Greg - those three took some very careful gardening to set up. They had grown up straight through the leaf litter which was tangled around them - it was quite fiddley to free them, ensuring I didn't damage the plant of course  .

Wonderful time lapse video there DA - amazing variety of plants covered as well. For those in the UK with an interest in plants, the BBC have a fabulous series on at the moment - How to Grow a Planet http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01bywvr. I think Aunty Beeb may have some restrictions on those from outside of the UK accessing the site, not sure.

I agree with Birma about the crocusses. The extra rimlight seems to accent the lighter parts of the petals very nicely. They stick out from the background.
I find the first the least attractive as you can see the use of the lightsource too much on the subject. Good for the tryout though.
