Thanks for posting photos agorabasta and gio67! All look great! The two sunsets have beautiful colors and I like the yellow reflection of the sunlight on the brick pavement.

We were heading down from the top of Mt. Fuji early in the morning in 1991. I was with some Japanese friends and we had climbed all night in the cold, wind, and rain and arrived at the top about 4:00 AM so we could see the sunrise. It turned out to be so overcast that there was no sunrise to see. This man was walking in front of me on the way down. Scanned negative.

An autumn leaf resting on the ground after a hard spring and summer of toil. お疲れ様でした! I thank you, Japan thanks you, and the whole world thanks you for all you have done to reduce CO2 in the atmosphere.

Children on the arched bridge under the torii gate at Warei-jinja, Uwajima, Japan a few weeks ago. A true buddy helps a buddy when his buddy needs a helping hand But, a true buddy doesn't return the favor by riding off and leaving his buddy who lent the helping hand Here is a photo I took near sunset of the bridge and torii gate when I was there in 2003:

Lots of German immigrants in Central Texas. When I was a kid I remember every year back in the 1960s going to New Braunfels for Wurstfest with my family. People would buy buckets of beer and carry them around with plastic cups to drink from. I also remember the great sausage and potato pancakes with apple sauce.

Thanks Henry- I tried them in color first, but the B/W was much more dramatic. I tried to capture the magical light that came from the light seen in the picture, and the firepit just outside the frame, but I just couldn't capture it... Wurstfest is still the same, we have been 5 or so times, and are beginning to recognize the regulars. There is one couple we have seen every time we have been there! The food is great, the music is fun, and well there is plenty of beer! We kept a couple of beer pitchers full of water just in case the fire got out of hand... Thankfully the kids kept it under control. John
