Good capture Yldiz. Looks like some sort of industrial fire with the heavy smoke. Hope no lives were lost.

How right you can be with all the distance between Istanbul and Canada amazes me, David. Yes, it was a factory bearing some sort of chemicals inside. The smoke was visible from all regions of Istanbul, although it actually is located pretty far from where I live. No serious injury to anyone related to the utilities. I think the smoke affected those within the periphery and that was all. Yildiz

Hi Sury, : )
From the looks of the third shot, you certainly have some catching up to do. : ))
Nice and neat neighborhood. The houses have similar structual features. Must have been a big housing project at some point. I loved the green lawns and the Violas. Everything's nicely taken care of.
Thanks for sharing,
Yildiz

Thanks Birma, I’m late because in a moment of insanity I agreed to do a survey, as if I haven’t got enough on my plate already with the water damaged pine stringers and cover strips in the soffit under the leaky internal front patio roof gutter (new one in place now). Greg Townsville weather: fine, 20-30°C not humid, nice weather at the moment. Just a snap from a couple of days ago, similar conditions, not much happening with the bridge except some more work being done on the far side. A100 KM24-105 (I think) Attachment:

Nice pictures Greg - I like that view of the bridge. Nice work on the roof and you have a feathered admirer as well Dreary rain here today. There have been glimpses of sun over the past few days here but it seems they only happen when I'm in work or busy doing something . I'll just have to take pictures of drips and puddles at this rate!

Thanks Birma, things should be nice in the woods I would have thought, I remember there was a nice pond you found a couple of years ago but it wasn’t at it’s best at that time, no leaves on the trees and wilted reeds, I wonder how it looks lately? Greg
Ps no more bluebells? I saw those magnificent fields of them you took recently.

Oow - I had forgotten about that pond! Everything is very water logged at the moment and so the pond would be a good idea as it should be nice and full. I think the Bluebells will be mostly over now, but I am still on the hunt for wild flowers, so if I can get a 'pass', and the weather improves, it will be either the pond or flowers this weekend . (Still grey and raining so far today .)
