Yes, Sony does tend to oversturate, especially in the red. Had to reduce saturation in my last shot shown above.

Yes. We have surrounded our small home with growing areas and pobably have close to 100 roses and peones in bloom.

Here is a shot in part inspired by Mark's recent shot.  2012 Goodrich - Yellow by Birm, on Flickr In (almost) the words of Coldplay, "I took a photograph for you, and all the things you do, and it was called Yellow"  . Sony Nex 5 with SEL 16/2.8.

Continuing in the yellow theme, some pictures from a walk in the woods yesterday.  2012 Alfrick - Yellow Dead Nettle - Archangel (wide) by Birm, on Flickr  2012 Alfrick - Yellow Dead Nettle - Archangel by Birm, on Flickr You probably wouldn't glance at this plant when it wasn't in flower. It is called the Yellow Dead Nettle (as it doesn't have a sting), and is also sometimes called Archangel, I guess becuase of the littleyellow flowers, which do look quite angelic. Both with Nex 5 and SEL 16/2.8. The second shot has the addition of the Minolta CL 49/200 Close Up Lens. Why us a CUL on a wide angle? Well it was in the bag, and it has a matching filter thread size, and I thought I would give it a go . It shortens the minimum focus distance so helps in this respect.

Thanks Greg . Oil Seed Rape has become a very common crop here in the UK and so you see regular splashes of yellow as you drive past fields at this time of year. It is very photographic although probably becoming a bit over done judging by Flickr. It is very pungent when nearby and unpleasant for some hay-fever sufferers.
