A business trip landed me in Las Vegas. Took 3 lenses and never got outside the hotel. The first set features the Tamron 14mm 2.8 being teamed up with the a900.
Enjoy.

Very nice. #2, #3 and #4 (lobby and the mall) are the most impressive. Beautiful colors and excellent capture.
I never realized how much fun a really wide angle lens can be, (in good hands :) )

Big and artificial, is everything in Las Vegas. : )

Nicely demonstrated in the most minimal respect, JBTaylor.

The lens certainly helped yield in line with yourpurpose.

Thanks for sharing,

Thanks folks.
Yes, artificial is a word that comes to mind. It is an unusual feeling being around such "fakeness". Not sure I will ever go back.

One for the road. Or should I say water?

If only the water is not that blue, it would have been very authentic fake. Good testimony to Las Vegas
attempt at creating crass opulence. It is a good thing what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

It's like counterfeit/fake items.
There were similar things in Dubai malls: Chinese court, Indian court, Persian court, Arabian court (well, naturally), Italian one and so forth.
All unreal... but pleasant.

The 14mm 2.8 is a good lens on the A900, but from my 4 years experience with it so far, it is probably the worse performer in the vignetting department (but who don't like vignetting :-)).

I remember staying in front of the fake place in Las Vegas a few years ago. I was not really understand why people are paying a lot of $$$ to take a trip in the gondoles ...

I think the fakes thing of this shopping mall is the fact that is best place in Venezia there is not a lot of building with only two stories and all at the same level, that should be take in mind of the architect when he designed the place:-).

Regards,

Frank
