It’s sorta like a self-fulfilling prophecy then, with Sony at the helm.Winkler Prins wrote:Well, as was to be expected, you are not getting the point, stuck in your own *&!?#. It's not about attending every single show, it is about attending the shows that matter. Sony needs to decide between a dying Focus on imaging and another show in a country where people actually like EVF's and mirrorless camera's. In other words, you are not the centre of the universe. I visit the Photokina show every two years and I don't care about any other show. Does Sony have to spend thousands of dollars for a show to make three people in Wales buy an A58? I guess not. It would be nice but they're not going to make any profits of that. Get real. People buying camera's because they saw a TV commercial, that is outright sad...
And yeah Sony really know what they are doing marketing wise, it’s awesome really, they bashed out a whole bunch of entry level cams with missing features trying to do a D40, after the horse had bolted. Meanwhile the market they were appealing too were busy adapting to snapping pics with smart phones, and at the same time Sony ignored and alienated (even insulted) their established legacy base along with creating more problems than they fixed, and seeing as how all that worked so well are still doing much the same, and if rumours are to be believed more to come…yep smart moves alright.
It’s no wonder that Sony is selling off the farm, closing stores, and losing market share.
Make.believe isn’t going to make up for no.idea Sony.
People don’t want a 100Mp super camera that you will have to buy a supercomputer for Sony, most A-mount owners just want you to fix the flash system that you broke…that would be a good start.
