Congratulation to the winner. That poppy field photo was my favourite and it well deserved the first place.
I was a bit surprised by the silver, because in the first round I didn't get too many votes as I remember. I barely made it to the final.

Cheers

Hi Marcell, :)

Congratulations. Your purple mountain flower was beautiful and deserves its place among the most favoured.

Actually you didn't 'barely make' it to the final poll. You had an other flower which also got some votes which decreased the number of votes for the purple flower. For those who submit more than one image which are equally good, there's a risk of the votes being divided between them and that reduces the chance of maximising the votes to enter the final poll for a certain image.

By selecting the photos that you believe have a good chance before submitting them to the challenge, you can narrow down the choices the voters have to make because choosing a photo to vote for over an other presents a challenge in itself. In this challenge that's what we had in our hands; many, many good entries. Even Birma's submissions suffered the same issues... :)

You rightly made it and it's always a pleasure to see so many good entries in a rolll. :D

Wow! Thanks everyone. I feel really honoured :) . I loved all of the entries in this challenge as I am a complete sucker for a pretty flower shot. I was really lucky to be in the right place at the right time for my poppy field shots. Its impossible to say if I'll ever get those conditions again.

A massive thank you to Yildiz of course for all of the work she puts in to these challenges that we can take part in. It takes a significant amount of effort, and I am really grateful that she does it, and with such aplomb!

Roll on the next one :)

Roll on the ideas for new challenges then! :D We always need good ideas and now Autumn is well into shaping the Northern Hemisphere while Spring is still the ruler in the Southern. Just share your ideas or start a challenge of your own. I'd be happy to help on the way to the finals. :D

Andy, by dedicating yourself so selflessly to your ambition and encountering a lot of natural obstacles on the way, like so many of the flower fields lovers here you got many a members' votes and deserved they are too. Congratualtions once again to you and to all that contributed becase all entries were beautiful to my eyes. Different approches but same purpose. : ))

Great work. Thanks. (Complements are much appreciated and very honouring as well as gratifying and grounding. Thank you. I learned a great deal on the way from you guys too, do not ever forget. Seeing is learning.)
