Nice Fall colors in this one Valery. I love the way the path leads into the image.
It could be my monitor, but I could not see any details on
the leaves in front of the pink column, hence my comment.

Sury! It really tiny sensor in my Nexus 4 cellphone, it's not even a crop camera as a57 or a300. The phone can't make same resolution. I hope it's OK for the cellphone.

I would rather have a capture than none
at all. My comments were not intended as
critique but as an observation. I have seen
some photos of my friends taken with a mobile
and I thought "wow". You cannot beat then
for convenience.
BTW, where was the Fall colors one taken?
For me it is 4 hours drive before I can see the
colors.

Sury, Can you believe or not it's near to the Canadian Mint in Winnipeg. Right in the city. We have so many parks inside the city...And that moment I had no cameras with me, only the cell phone.

At last, technology has served the purpose of providing a good tool to a talented user.

Valery, nice shots with a telephone, especially the autumn leaves. Regarding Sury's comment, undoubtably the plinth and leaves are lacking in definition but..... it is a tiny sensor image! A little PP could help but apart from removing the fingers......

Thank you Cogito and Say! I hope this topic about what we (not only me) can do with simple tools like phone, small camera and so on. Personally for me it's just a fun and a moments in the life I don't wanna miss.

Thanks to everyone for continuing to post in this tiny sensor photo thread. As a reminder, the point is just that a tiny sensor camera, any camera, is capable of taking worthwhile photos. All the gear that is constantly coming out is cool, I like it too, but even a tiny sensor camera, even a smartphone camera, is in many ways better than lots of the film cameras we had years ago. For that reason, this thread tries to remove much of the shock and awe of expensive gear with big sensors from the equation and just concentrate on what can be done with what for some or just lowly, not worth considering, humble, tiny sensor cameras.

Yeah, that elongated bike was rather cool.

I was walking along on Sunday and spied this praying mantis blocking my path. Lucky for him I am not part of the Zombie Apocalypse because I saw him and didn't step on him. The lens was 3-4cm from him.



We were sitting at a traffic signal yesterday and I saw these children getting a tour of a fire station. We were across the street and I asked my wife to put her window down so that I could get the shot from where I was sitting on the other side of the car.



This old, flattened work glove was on the road. With its broken finger it was probably seen as having served its worth and had been discarded. Sad. Japan is generally a compassionate society so one would think there would be homes for gloves such as this.

Though I miss commenting on your posts, in general they are very delightful not just for the technique
or the composition but the stories they tell through the images and your narratives. I always get to feel
that I was there or at the least wish I was there. Thank you for sharing. If I can get a tenth of the ability
to capture and tell a story that many on this forum convey, I would be so lucky.
