From couple of days ago with HX50V. I was trying to capture the delicate translucent effect created with flowers back lit
by the evening light coming through the door.

Sury I didn't see your question above before. The plant is interesting to me because of the large flowers and because the leaves are poisonous to goats etc.

This is a species of Heliconia. It's the only species I've come across in my neck of the woods.

This is Gloriosa superba. Quite a name. It is native to Africa and Asia but grown more or less world wide as a garden flower. It is an interesting plant. Why? Because all parts of the plant are poisonous and it is reputed to have been used in both murders and suicides.
