Re: Bokeh is the focus - Open thread
I have a question (without notice) DA, who took the shot? (great photo btw)
Greg
Ps definitely a cute little chap, looks like he might like budgie seed too, sort of in keeping with his size range maybe.

Thank you Andy.
Yes, a bird in hand makes for a good shot.
Excellent timing David and a nice shot to boot.

Re: Bokeh is the focus - Open thread
Thanks for the kind comments Sury, Birma & Greg.
I took the shot Greg. Met up with a couple with
daughter toddler. ( Brought Birma to mind ) did
try to catch bird in each hand. They were delighted
to recieve the photos. I did like the bokeh.
Black-capped chickadee Greg, favourite food black
oil sunflower seed. bet they would like the Budgie
seed. (ツ)
Hand held camera also. ツ

Very nice shot David. I think it might be even better, if you were to crop it removing the empty hand. The rectangular aspect ration lends itself very well for the image, IMHO.

Re: Bokeh is the focus - Open thread
You are correct Sury that would be much better.
I did this for the couple, was trying for a bird in
each hand as there were several coming and
going, alas did not make the shot. To catch the
two seperate ones was a bit of luck, they twitch
turn and fly away in seconds.

That's right. You did mention about the couple and a toddler. I am sure they liked
it the way it is, since both the hands are visible. For a moment I forgot the context
of the shot.

Sury,
I missed this one by a hair. However, the bokeh is worth sharing.
135mm @f2.0.
And one more @ f4.0.

Beautiful, JBTaylor.
Thanks for sharing. Very enticing. I'm glad the inducement is intended for Sury only. Hard to resist....

JB,
That is not fair. Nice shots by the way. The bokeh on the first one is just fabulous.
