Thank you Dennis. I have used the photosynth before and I was very impressed. It does require Silverlight and what I did not like is the part where they get to "own" your image when you upload it. I don't know if they changed it.

Re: Panoramas
Thank you Dennis. Either I did not read it completely or it might have been changed.
Either way it is a good thing. I will check out. Once again your webpage has great collection.
You should share here more often.

Great shots of panoramas form all. I have never tried doing one. Are they very difficult to do?

Re: Panoramas
The ones like Dennis, yes. Did you see the quality? Henry does great panos too, If I recollect
correctly.
As for technique, I find it very easy. Most of my panos are hand held. I use MS ICE (free software)
and you can use couple of paid software or the latest CS. I think the key is either to be in A mode
or manual. You don't want the focus or DoF to change between shots and try for at least 25% if not
more. The tricky part is to keep the camera level horizontally. That just sums up my technique.
Some of my examples ( I need to update with latest one) are in my flickr album here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/bigsur/se ... 1792722195

Re: Panoramas
Nice one DennisG. It could be my monitor but I find the overall image a tad soft,
especially the left half more than the right.

Hi Dennis;
Very nice shot, not sharp but could be called artistic. : )
The reasons your photo doesn't show in the post are its dimensions which are 2048*562 and probably the file size that exceeds 250 KB.
(You can see the size and dimensions of the photo in the Properties of your photo to help guide you.)
If you can resize the longest side of the photo down to or under 1024 pixels, the photo will show directly in the thread posts. Right now it's too big and is shown as a link only.
Hope this helps.
