A700 Latest Pics

Unread post by wave_wizard »

Haven't posted for a while but just wanted to continue my praise for the A700. A few shots from our trip to Malaysia and Borneo and from around the home. Hope to get a tripod soon to open up more photographic possibilities. regards
Steve.

Nice shots, Steve.
The monkey (macaccus) is great, the peacock's WB should be fixed a bit I think.

Thanks for the comments Dr. Harout. I did have ago with the peacock, fixing it a bit but the actual lighting was quite dark with a lot of greenery. I need to set my camera up with a few custom modes so I dont have to fiddle too much in the field. Once again any comment can make you think in a different direction, which is good.

So you don't shoot raw? For me this saves a lot of this 'fiddling', especially with the white balance in tricky situations.

Good set of pics btw, I especially enjoyed the young musician.

Thanks for looking springm.
I know I should shoot raw but I suppose I could be a bit lazy when it comes to processing them afterwards. I intend to take my photography more seriously in the new year and will definately being shooting in raw then.
Here's a couple more from my fav. camera so far. :D

The last shot is fantastic. Just I would've cropped it a bit leaving the flag out (with all respect, it's just that the colors are distracting from the overall shot. Again my respects to the flag and the country.)
