I think I know why you like the last one and as a portrait it is great. I just like the idea that a grouping of similar items can make their own shapes.

One from last summer, but only just getting around to posting it. The sandy west coast of the Western Isles in Scotland has a unique wild flower habitat called Machair. Normally at its best in May and June, everything was a bit later last year and it still looked colourful in August.
A very windy day was going to ruin any chances of talking individual flower portraits so I decided to try and make a feature of the wind.

Excellent Andy. I love the blurry flowers with the green grass/stems/leaves being fairly motionless. You did a great job of capturing the wind.

great use of shallow dof Andy. I almost bought the Tamron 90mm macro. Perhaps I should revisit that option since I don't have a true macro lens in my collection.
