Frankly speaking one does not expect such an Off topic thread even in the off topic forum.

Re: Why turn OSS off when using a tripod?
I also read some where that if you have a camera with IBS like the Sony A mount or Pentax K and a lens with OIS, one of the systems should be switched off as they can apparently 'clash'. With my Sigma tele I switch the OIS off and just use IBS. I also switch both off when using a tripod. I some tim...

Re: Why turn OSS off when using a tripod?
When OSS is ON, camera expects small tremors in the body and tries to compansate them. When you put the camera on tripod, there is no tremor camera can detect and its compansation mechanism itself causes the tremors now since camera is fully stable while OSS goes on doing small movements to fix the ...

Re: Find Exif Data?
Assuming you are asking how you want to see in computer (not in camera), most of the image programs will give you this info.
If you don't use any, you can go with free irfanview (http://www.irfanview.com/) which is a great program for starters.

Re: RX100 replacement options
I don't know specs of LX100 but Canon G7X is definetely a RX100 clone. I think its shame on Canon to replicate Sony's camera but for consumers like us its still good news since competition will like to lower the prices. RX100 is a GREAT camera but needless to say expensive too.

Re: 35mm Prime lens options for the A7.
I'm not a big fan of manual lenses but considering you don't mind it, may I suggest Carl Zeiss Jena 35mm 2.4 lens which is M42 mount. You can find it in your budget limits as its a pretty old lens but its still very sharp especially in the center (if you don't mind alittle vignetting in the corners ...
