Thanks everyone!
Here's another one from the Cahokia Mounds state park. Low fog during an autumn sunset.

Re: Sunsets & Sunrises
Thanks guys! A frozen Horseshoe lake. The lake is only about 6 feet deep and freezes quickly. It's just 10 minutes from my house, so it's one of my quick go-to places if it looks there is going to be a nice sunrise or sunset. Sunsets & Sunrises
A couple of different sunsets at the Horseshoe Lake Illinois state park. For the two shots of the first one, I think I prefer the landscape orientation. I've only seen puffins in the zoo. It's nice to see shots of them in the wild and flying. Thanks, Sury!

Fog
For the last year my day job workload has been keeping me from getting out much. However, there are two state parks within 15 minutes of my house so for a quick escape from the daily stress, I would make a quick run out to one of the parks after work. There is not much variety in the surroundings ex...

Re: A Dance Photographer's Archive
Just a little history on a former dance classmate. This an old printed photo that I had scanned a few years back. I took this around 1985-86 with a Pentax ES and a 55mm 1.8 Takumar lens that I inherited from my older brother, Henry (no, not this site's Henry :) ). This is a group of young students t...

Thanks Sury!
The "helicopter" lift, where the guy throws the girl straight up in the air and spins her while she lifts one of her legs and swings it like a rotary-wing-blade over the guy's head.
A reed flute.

Re: Pigeon Point Light House, Pescadero, California
Oh, the younger generation! Sig, when I was a kid, we would often travel to Illinois over the old Chain of Rocks Bridge (25 cent fare). If it was late on Friday night, we would see the old lighthouses lit up. They are still there today, as their main purpose was, and still is, water intakes for the...

A Dance Photographer's Archive
Hi All, Work has been overwhelming for the past few months and I haven't had much time for photography. So for now, I thought I'd share some shots from my dance archives. Some of them might be a decade old or older. Since it's Nutcracker season I'll start with those. Plus, it's every dance company's...
