the only issue with the Minolta/Sony Macro lenses (at least the 50mm 2.8 and the 100mm 2.8, I haven't try the 50mm 3.5) is the slow focus. On any camera. But opticaly, they are the best Macro lenses around. The 100mm 2.8 specially: an object of desire... Regards Macro lenses need finer focussing - ...

Thanks for your comment :D Sony Alpha a700 with Sony 100mm f2.8 macro lens and I believe the species is Anthophora furcata They do come in various shades and some are more ginger than others. The lighting is different here (both photos taken a couple of days ago) but the bee was a different colour. ...

Actually only the last is a Dragon fly, the first is a Hover fly and the others Damsel flies ... but no matter the photos are great!

Otherwise the painter wouldn't have been paid ... or worse
