Hi David,
I wondered if you'd seen this over at Dyxum - http://www.dyxum.com/dforum/forum_posts ... ing-online
Any thoughts or information from Sony you can shed on this?
Cheers,
Mark

I tried a NEX and I liked it
After seeing all the squit on DPReview about the NEX, and particularly about the interface, I popped into Jessops yesterday to have some hands-on time with one. I have to say I was impressed, and according to the sales person they had sold a number of the systems the previous day (a Tuesday, so not ...

Re: Bibble 5 *finally* released
For a bit of balance, I'm using B5 and liking it a lot. It's fast, output is good and the DAM features save me having to purchase another DAM solution. 5.0.1 was released today, adding back in black, white and grey point droppers amongst other things. Perfectly Clear is not in yet, but I'm not reall...

Re: here we go again -
One thing that surprises me is that Sony as a whole seem to be completely indifferent to building relationships with people like David or the owners of dyxum. There's never any sense of a personal touch and I think that's a shame and a missed opportunity. I'm sure they have marketing teams and focus...

Re: Calibration tools for iMac 24''
Sorry to drag an old thread back from the dead, but does anyone have hints for manually (i.e. without buying hardware) calibrating a screen on a PC please? We don't get the benefit of a built in calibration sequence as DK talks about with the Mac, and I can't quite bring myself to spend another £100...

Capture 1 for me as well. I'm very pleased with it's output.

Re: Image Help Wanted
Isn't this what the long-exposure noise reduction is for? I thought the purple is noise caused by the sensor heating over time, but it's repeatable, so you can take a frame with the shutter closed and subtract it.

16-80cz Build Improved Over Time?
Hi, I bought my copy of this lens back in June last year, and I'm wondering if people who've bought more recent examples are still seeing the movement in the barrels and slight slack in the focus ring that mine came with. Does anyone know if production and build quality has improved as time has gone...

Re: New Sony lenses
I'm confused by that announcement, either it's just wrong (or out of date) or Sony are competing with themselves (e.g. launching a 28-75 for full frame to compete with 28-70??), or I understand this whole camera deal a lot less than I think I do???

Re: Great Advertisement for the Sony A900
It's not 100% clear as some words don't translate, but I think he says it took it all and kept going. He cleaned the outside with compressed air, and cleaned the sensor, but it kept going. I think he says he was changing lens outdoors, so some dust getting in is not surprising!

Great link, and translate.google.com does an ok job of giving it in English so you can get a feel for what he's saying.

Re: Help! IDC newb here
Ah, I never got into the Adobe way of doing things, and I originally got C1 free with a Sandisk memory card a couple of years ago. Now I don't think I would ever consider it worth spending the money to go the Adobe way. I'd pay for C1 if I had to for it's speed and ease of use, but I can understand ...
