I am sure it is quite lovely, but alas, I am a poor photo gear addict, and cannot afford the cz lens. Now, if anyone wishes to donate one to me as a charitible donation, I would gladly accept.Lonnie Utah wrote:Don't skimp. Buy the sony 18-35 CZ. I SWEAR you WILL NOT regret it.

Re: Sigma 17-50 2.8 vs Tamron 17-50 2.8
Which camera body do you use, Rich? If it is an a700, which features the center AF sensor sensitive to f/2.8 and faster lenses, then the rest of the lenses mentioned here might mean very little next to the first two with constant f/2.8 max. aperture. I've just picked up an a700, an upgrade from my ...

Sigma 17-50 2.8 vs Tamron 17-50 2.8
I have been saving, and am near to purchasing the Tamron 17-50 2.8, but now I see Sigma has announced the same at PMA. I suppose I should wait and see how it reviews compared to the Tamron, but I have seen no suggested price on it. Anyone hear anything?

Re: Sony DSLRs a t Wal-Mart
At that price I'm tempted to get it for my wife. Dusty If you can get the coupon to work, this is a great deal to get the wife. Below is the description and coupon code and the URL. "Sony has the refurbished Sony Alpha DSLR-A200 10.2 MP Camera with 18-70mm Lens Kit for $450 - $150 off with cou...

Re: Dyxum Owner Not Pleased With Sony Alpha Line Progress & Inno
I don't know what A5xx will look like but what I know for sure is that half the board will be outraged  No doubt! I don't know why there is so much angst over what Sony's future marketing plans are. You have a good camera now, so why the lack of confidence for future releases that are stil...

I have had my 100 macro since the Minolta days, and it is by far my favorite lens. Really wonderful. Enjoy!

Re: Aftermarket Vertical Grip for Alpha A200
There is an official vertical grip which fits the A200, A300 and A350 - the VG-B30AM I just bought this grip, and though I haven't given it a full workout yet, I love the way the camera now feels in my hand. I have big hands and I felt without the grip my A200 was a little cramped. The grip now mak...

White Balance Lens Caps?
Anyone use these? I see them listed on eBay and I have no idea if they are useful. Any feedback appreciated.

Contemplations....
I am a happy A200 user, but I have decided that I want to move up to the A700 level. I will need to save up, but I am wondering if ther is an A700 upgrade or successor on the horizon. I would hate to get an A700 and the next month an A750 or A800 hits the streets. Anyone hear of any rumors?

Extending my reach
My current lens collection is lacking a good lens from where my beercan leaves off at 210mm, to the 300mm range. I actually have a Tamron 200-400 but it is way too big to carry around. Anyway, I am considering a Minolta 100-300 f4.5-5.6 D APO, mainly for it's size (short/lightweight), it's sharpness...

Newbie question: EXIF data
I hope this is the proper forum for this question... I am a windows xp user. When I mouse over raw (ARW) files, I get a pop up of a fantastic list of data. If I convert the raw files to tiff or jpg, the mouse-over only give a very basic amount of info. Is there anyway to get that same data to pop up...
