Re: Minolta is back: new cameras
These cameras are Minolta in name only. A Chinese company bought the Minolta name and identity. The company and products are no relation to the Minolta and Konica Minolta products.. The company bought the name but not the patents. The cameras use small sensors and software-adjusted megapixels. I'll ...

Re: Sony HEIF: Why no Adobe RGB?
I don't own high-end screens. My two Samsung 24" screens don't show any difference between JPG and Heif files.

Re: Sony HEIF: Why no Adobe RGB?
I'm here. Check it every day. Most of my older photo software doesn't use Heif. My iPad uses Heif so I changed it to Jpg. All my older photo software products don't recognize Heif files. Canon originally used Heif files. I'll stick with Jpeg. I have a A6500. The A6500 doesn't work with Nissin MF18 m...

Re: Puff(in) the magic dragon
"Puff the magic dragon" gives away your age. I love puffins. Amazingly, such heavy stocky birds with relatively small wings can fly and migrate distances. They still survive and multiply despite predation by man, fish, and foxes over millenniums. They breed and multiply in zoos readily. Lo...

Plant Find
https://pbase.com/fotogeorge/image/173546362 I shot this unknown flower, with A57 and Minolta 100mm Macro lens. Is it a weed or a wildflower? Reminds me of the scarlet pimpernel, but wrong color and leaves. "They seek him here, They seek him there,.....That demmed elusive pimpernel." ;) Ne...

Re: Turkey trip photos
I like your wonderful portraits captured in Turkey. I study my DNA and trace it's history. I always wonder the source for certain genes. I like seeing all the faces, the phenotype. The people in modern Turkey are a blend of many people. The invading Turks were a small percentages of the Slavs, Roman...

Re: Old camera appreciation!
I'd buy the opener on the bottom row. I wouldn't travel to Hawaii to buy one. It's too expensive to add to my list of things to do. I have a drawer with all kinds of tools including bottle openers. I have the now rare triangle-pointed can opener. I have the Viet Nam-era twist and cut can openers you...

I'm still having fun with my KM7D. I set up quick image. Shot a RAW image. The earthquake sensor was slightly moving when I shot the image.

Re: Olympic National Park, Washington, USA
My favorite was the last one. I like the reflections and framing the first shot with the roads. I liked the details.
