Re: Manual Focus Lenses for a700

I have a non-AF confirm type and really, it wasn't worth buying. I have AF confirm M42 lens adaptors (with no glass element in them) and they work well. David Hi! Could you explain this a bit to me please. I've been looking through ebay I found several adaptors. *M42 to Minolta AF that confirms foc...

Re: my first post.

Thanks Dusty and David. I have been wanting to post some pictures here a long time ago, maybe I was a bit afraid. I feel a lot more positive about my first post now. The second shot, I am using a vivitar auto flash which only has preset exposures. So I just matched the aperture and the iso that i wa...

my first post.

Hi there guys. This is my first post here under "Best shot" things. I went to White Beach, Puerto Galera before going to another beach here, Boracay. Here are 3 shots as the post limits. These may not be the best but I like them. Here is a silhouette of my team. Taken during the sunrise. h...

Re: SONY a700 and a900 for the phillipines

If you are avoiding the rains, you should come this summer. February to June are really sunny months, May is a good month. But beware of the heat. : ) I can't point you yet to any particular place where you can shoot wildlife. But you can try the beaches here; Boracay, Siargao, or Palawan. I'll be g...

Re: Extension tube or close-up lens?

Hi everyone! Thanks for your replies! Well, I'm a bit interested in doing some macro type shots, so I guess I could say it's only a try-out thing. To 01af: Thanks for correcting me there. I did some reading yesterday and have already corrected myself a couple of times. And yes, diopters they are. Bu...

Re: Extension tube or close-up lens?

Hello! Well, I've been thinking of buying those "close-up filters" on ebay. I agree it's a cost thing. I just wanna ask a few things here: 1: I'm seeing filters sold as a set; +1,+2,+4,+8,+10; and others are sold only as a single filter. Would I be better off buying a single filter? Or if ...

Re: eBay Minolta FS-1100 'clones'

Hi there braeside!

I just got my "adaptor" in the mail today. I purchased mine from the same ebay store. I was supposed to set up a flash system using those cactus wireless triggers with my a100.

Would I need to do this wiring thing your referring to?

I was just wondering.

Re: Dust inside the lens.

I would post some pictures later. I would usually use the "Clean ccd" option on the a100 after everytime I get my battery charged. And also, the sensor is shaken everytime you turn the camera on or off, right? Is it a usual thing for dust to get stuck in the sensor even after all that vibr...

Re: Dust inside the lens.

So, what my front element has could be fungus not dust. I've read about dust being visible at small apertures, but I'm shooting wide, and it still shows.

I would try to post some pictures of my lens, so you can see.

Dust inside the lens.

Hi guys! What do you do if your lens has visible dust inside? My lens' front element has some visible "dust" inside. I dont know if I can even call it dust coz it's like really minute strands. The problem is, it's visible in the shots. I know it will take professional help to have the lens...

Re: Hello from Manila

Thanks for the welcome David and Aster! Iam actually looking at buying an extra battery. David, if you say that the NP-FM500H battery is compatible with the A100, and that it is better, that's what I'll buy then. For now I would need to settle with my SAL 18-200 lens, coz lens prices are so high. We...
