Re: RX100
Nice shots, WW. I like what I see from the RX100, but I can't wrap my head around spending $650 for a fixed lens, P&S camera that only has a 28-100 lens. For that price, I'd want a 24-135, and probably a sensor bigger than 1", too. Dusty Thanks Dusty, the price is a little steep but I beli...

RX100
It has been a very long time since Ive posted in this forum. Life just got busier and other hobbies took over for a while. Well I have to say this new camera from sony is an absolute cracker! I researched point and shoot cameras until my better half almost throttled me, so this was my chance to sway...

Re: Looking to buy a scanner
I inherited from my parents a truck load of negatives- colour, black and white of various sizes and slides. There is quite a bit of family history tied up in all that film so I took the plunge and bought the Epson V700. It can do 12 slides at a time, all negeative sizes and has the Ice and Silver Fa...

Re: Been a While
Thanks all for the positive comments. Not too sure about the crop 01af, I prefer more of the wave in the image and the empitness of where the wave is travelling into. I did try to capture some closer shots but the composition didnt feel right. thanks for your suggestion though.

Been a While
It has been a while since I have visited this forum and must say the new look is very classy
The a700 has become a fantastic tool, I find this camera a pleasure to use. Here are some new shots taken recently ,the macros.. using the tamron 90mm macro lens.
Well done with the site, looks great.

Re: My Flickr
Hi Birma, well I know this is an alpha site but for the mini beast shots I used my Olympus c8080 wz set on super macro. Its a great 8mp camera especially using the macro settings. Its only down fall is it can hunt a fair bit when trying to auto focus. The grubs totally destroyed my lawn as they live...

Re: My Flickr
Thanks Dr Harout. I have observed your site and I'm quite envious of the cultural history and colour of your country that you have displayed thru your photography. I'm setting a challenge to myself to look deeper into my own immediate surroundings. Thanks for looking.

Re: where time stands still
I really like your first shot of the fishermen, feels like your part of the action /struggle bringing the nets. The breaking wave gives the photo a bit of a nervy "edge".
