Yes, really the ordinary controllers usually emit discrete but as you told pressing the button longer will demonstrate the result. I took of hot mirrors for many times and measured the transmittance and I should say that they transmit only a few percents of IR but still I couldn't detect any lightin...

In case of Nex the sensor is located directly behind the lens and the IR blocking coating can also be not ideal in purpose. What about the brightness.. if it sense the IR then it sense and there is some reason that it sense and sony probably uses that part of spectrum to achieve better images. I tri...

In case of SLR where the mirror is moved to accept the irradiation of information let's say, hot mirror is needed to construct on additional highly transparent glass substrate which brings it's contribut...

Yildiz I agree with you concerning the clarity and dust particles. There are some circumstances which made obstacles on my way to take the best shots of these precious diamonds. 1. The only way I could capture good shoots in manual focusing with this lens was the use of lifeview of my a500 because its viewfinder is not that clear..
