Re: First A200 flash
Thanks for the advice Kevin. I think I'll wait until I have a bit more cash then go for the 42 rather than the 36. From what you say it seems that the 42 will be more useful long term once I start acquiring more flash equipment.

First A200 flash
As a relative newcomer to DSLRs, I am now looking to buy my first flash for an A200. I don't need anything powerful but I would like it to be wireless. The Sony HV-F36AM seems like a good choice as it now discounted in a number of places due to being superceded I assume. The whole flash thing seems,...

Re: Sony A200 lens 70 - 300mm
I think the Sony 75 - 300 G lens looks tempting. Going to have to save my pennies though, it's not cheap. Still, you get what you pay for. Does anyone own this lens? If so, what are your thoughts on it?

Re: A200 power lead
Greg, thanks for the advice. I think that might be the way to go for the time being. It would still be nice to have the power adaptor as I spend hours experimenting at home with settings and lighting so it would be useful to run on mains power. I've sent an email to Sony regarding the matter but I d...

Re: A200 power lead
Thanks for the link but that's insane money. It's half the price of the camera!!! I'm thinking of writing a letter to Sony to complain although I know it'll be pointless. Suerly there must be a cheaper alternative. I've looked on ebay and can't see anything. If I find anything suitable I'll post a l...

A200 power lead
I'm probably missing the blindingly obvious but where can you get a Mains - DC supply for the A200? I've looked on the Sony website but couldn't see anything suitable. As my computer is slow it takes an age to download multiple RAW files and it would be handy to run the camera on mains power whilst ...

Re: Sony A200 lens 70 - 300mm
Great shots but the problem I have is with the rotating front element due to using a circular polariser. Maybe I'll have to look beyond budget lenses. Incidentally, is it ok to use a polariser over a UV filter or is it best to remove the UV first. Forgive my ignorance but I'm new to photography.

Sony A200 lens 70 - 300mm
I'm looking to buy a 70 - 300mm lens for my A200 but as I often use a polarising filter I need one with a non-rotating front element. Unfortunately I am limited on the cash front so have been looking at lenses such as the Sigma 70 - 300 APO DG but this has a rotating front element. Any suggestions w...
