Re: AdobeRGB versus sRGB on a monitor

Hi Don,

I had a first look on the page and that is quite worthwhile information. They explain the issues quite clearly and there is a lot of information that helps a further understanding.

Thanks,

Re: AdobeRGB versus sRGB on a monitor

Hello Don and Olaf, Thanks for your input. I do intend to use a wide gamut monitor in the near future and as I will only have one monitor to work from, I was wondering how those many sRGB photos on the internet would look like (using Safari). As I understand it, sRGB photos would look OK on a calibr...

Re: AdobeRGB versus sRGB on a monitor

Thanks for your answer. So, when you are using Internet Explorer, it doesn't look good on either monitor in both alternatives. But when you would be using Safari than both options would look good. Or are you just talking about Photoshop and other colour managed software?

AdobeRGB versus sRGB on a monitor

Much has been written about the differences between AdobeRGB and sRGB. However, what would be the precise difference when viewing on a calibrated monitor is not entirely clear (clearly I do not have a calibrated monitor to test this). A calibrated AdobeRGB monitor: - an AdobeRGB photo: looks perfect...

Summarising the results of this article, we find on the plus side: - superior live view system (as fast as normal focussing) - LCD screen (also much better readable in the sun compared to t...

Re: New Monitor for my A700, KM5D, A100, and 7Hi Pix!

Dear Sonolta (and others), Just catching up on this thread as I am currently looking to buy a 22 inch monitor in the same class. Indeed the prad tests show that two monitors are on top of the class, the HP LP2275 and the Eizo S2231. As you chose the HP over the Eizo, I was wondering for what reasons...

Re: DSLR-A330, A330L, and A330Y

A leading Dutch Photomagazine (Focus, May edition) has named some specifics in its May editorial about their visit to the Sony factory in Osaka, Japan. First, they were required to sign an NDA that expires 18 May 2009. Hence, around this date we will see some announcements made by Sony. Also, some r...
