Re: A800 Rumor
Instead of a pointless MP race I would like the camera manufacturers too engage in a DR race, or a low noise IQ race instead, but that would probably never fly in the minds of the consumer, (can't quite imagine the adverts proclaiming loudly "ONE STOP MORE DR!!) nope, they are convinced that e...

Re: DPReview A900 Review is UP!
What do they mean by 'no in-camera vignetting control'? The A900 has about the best built-in shading maps recognising focal length which I have yet seen. It gives great results even with the KM 17-35 and the Sony/M 20mm. Both are really well mapped for evenly illuminated output. Where did dPreview ...

Re: David's A900 ISO 6400 pic, has arrived.
According to dpr, ISO above 400 is useless on A900, any images at such ISO should be deleted to save the pain of even looking at them, so barry burn that print now! its useless!

Sonolta, why are you posting random images???
A comparison needs a reference, otherwise its useless.

Sonolta, I'm surprised that you haven't seen all the RAw images yet RAW is just fine, like a700 v4 well seems to be with these early test shots at least.

Re: SONY A900 vs NIKON D700 @ ISO 1600
I'd say thats looking very good! Also to consider, I read somewhere (for the D300) that for the same ISO/F-Stop/EV Value the Nikon chooses a slower shutter time to avoid noise in the shadows. Do you have the exif for these two shots? Yes, it was David K here that repported that D300 uses twice the ...

SONY A900 vs NIKON D700 @ ISO 1600
Well do your own judging:

Look at the fabric at the bottom right corner, A900 has sligthly more detail than D700 and better grain/noise structure ...
Who would have thought that huh

9 dualcross sensors in the center area, 10 single ones in the wide area, if it really is 9 of a700s middle sensor its fantastic! using center AF a700 get a higher hitrate then D3 , 1dmk3 etc etc !
