I approached Sigma regarding my stripped 70-300mm - they didn't want to know, and as a bit out of warranty, I'm unable to return to original seller.
Any advice?

Ah,
Guess who's been diving into the mag apps
Not sure if Apple give out sales figures, but the more select the target audience, the harder to expand sales so unless Sony suddenly becomes number 1 or 2 in the market....

Re: All my NEX pictures accepted by Alamy
Raises a point David - is the end product the important bit, or the journey? I use aperture priority for all but flash photography so changes are few and far between. How many buttons do I need? And Sony aren't the only people to bury changes in menus - some even have the joys of sub menus. And with...

Looks interesting, though I'm still concerned about the shape - but man, it makes the pen look huge!
As for SAM, is it tying up for the video in the Alpha range?

Re: Sony 30mm f/2.8
Cheers Walt,
I have got used to the switching on the 50mm f1.8, so guess the quirks are acceptable I'm toying with saving longer for a Tamron 17-50 mm f2.8, but any alternative that keeps my relationship with Amber alive, has to be considered

Re: Sony 30mm f/2.8
David, quick question, following your BJP review. I know you're impressed with the little fellow and I personally, aren't bothered about the plastic mount. Have moved more into portraiture, and until I bite the bullet for a 17-50mm f2.8, wonder if the 30mm f2.8 sam, coupled with the 50mm f1.8 sam I ...

Cheers Greg!
Been experimenting with the ringflash alongside the 105mm macro but want to a) give it more mp to play with and b) team it up with the 50mm for portraits!

Interfit Hotshoe adaptor and Centon ringflash
I own a Centon RF20 ringflash, and recently purchased the above adaptor to connect to my bodies. I've tried it on the KM5D successfully, but as this is "dispensable" would like to move over to the A200/300. I'm concerned that the 5D may have a greater voltage tolerance and with no access t...

Re: Will UK A700 cashback be extended again?
Was thinking of the A700, with cashback, before I settled on the A300 and one thing came to mind. SURE. Ok, so nothing outside of the US, but all the major outlets, web and high street, were all offering the same price. Are Sony starting to pressure stockists on pricing here?

Re: Hello from a new user.
Kit lens isn't as bad as some make out. I don't utilise it a great deal, but have no complaints about it when it does get used.

Re: Why does dPreview do 'Recommended' ratings?
You kind of get the feeling that it's now more of a forum site, than a respected review site. Even the reviewers admit that the final conclusion is a result of their "feelings". And which will feel more natural to you, a camera you've acclimatised yourself to over many thousands of shots, ...

Re: EOS 1000D and Nikon D700 in hand
Talk of mount swapping does bring to mind the fact that within, what, 8 weeks, the A900 should be officially launched. So where will we be by the Autumn? Will Canon announce the half-shilling, sorry 6D by then? Which price bracket will the A900 be entering? UK prices are always exaggerated too. And ...

Re: Banning on DPReview.
Judging by the response David got at DP re: the ban, if half of the posts appeared here, we'd be deluged whenever we hit the unread posts button :? BTW, can I sub to the mag via paper formats? Yes, the magazine sub if paid for is paper- real magazine delivered, honest! Also, you can fax credit card...
