Re: "Hey, whacha eating?"

I've seen that image somewhere in these threads before, I now assume you work for Robbins Baskin. I cooked Aloo Mutter Jeerawala tonight, which would (probably?) usually be served with something, so I just threw in half a dozen King Tiger Prawns and had an Indian style 'Gumbo'. http://i49.tiny...

Re: Statues of my city

Don't know the story behind this one, in my local village. http://i48.tinypic.com/256e6as.jpg A 1914 war memorial in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, near the Civic Centre http://i48.tinypic.com/9h6l5f.jpg The Civic Centre itself, I've already posted a different angle of this in another thread. http://i46.tinyp...

Re: "Hey, whacha eating?"

I was tempted to photograph the food I cooked last night, chickpeas with red chilli and lemon finished off with fresh coriander leaf. In the end I just ate it. :)

I'll see what I come up with tonight.

Re: Statues of my city

The artist has certainly captured the vibrancy of form, really quite lifelike for all its metal components. Having had more than one bull tossing its head at me as I ran, looking over my shoulder, I can testify to the accuracy of its appearance. One can almost imagine it is driven by steam.

Re: Acrobat (Jaisalmer, India)

Nice. I would really like to travel around India, by bike and train perhaps, camera always by my side. And the food, perhaps I would stay forever.

Re: "Hey, whacha eating?"

Nice shot Bakubo, it brings back memories. The foreground is clealry delineated from the background to the extent you could almost imagine the seller is posed in front of a backdrop canvas.

Re: Almost 5 weeks old!

One of the first few pics taken with my new lens, so far I'm impressed with it. Though I was initially confused as to how to use the macro side of it as I'd never seen a focus limiter nor used a macro lens before. Got it sussed now though.

Thanks for that David. This is a lens that may well end up on my wish list once I raise the finances for a dedicated landscape lens.

Re: Maritime Heritagr

Nice 1, a maritime themed thread :) The Skandi Inspector is a wellhead maintenance vessel, also used for specialised research. The structure above the bridge is a helicopter landing pad! Her and vessels like her are really multipurpose ships, often contracted for specific duties, more often connect...

Re: Maritime Heritagr

I'd like to know what this ship is used for, looks quite unusual to me.
